WORKSHOPS
I give workshops to organizations interested in implementing the lessons from performance psychology and high-performance cultures. In these workshops, I’ll guide you through the science and stories of building an athlete’s mind. These workshops are built on 3 core values:
SCIENCE-BACKED
Whereas most content you see nowadays is based on “This is how I did it”, I build the workshop’s content on a wide range of scientific articles and groundbreaking research. I aim to apply the evidence-based approach to your organization by providing you with concrete insights from performance psychology.
VULNERABILITY
I believe that connection is formed by openly talking about your goals, needs, and struggles. In my workshop, I aim to set a powerful example by vulnerably sharing my personal stories with the group. By daring to be vulnerable, we create a space for everyone to grow in.
INTERACTIVE
Instead of sending an overload of information your way, my goal is to stimulate active learning in the audience. I encourage the group to ask questions, share their views, and apply science to their own lives. A workshop is a chance for me to learn from you as well.
Workshop topics
The Winning Drive
Understand your motivation to go above and beyond
What drives the best of the best to be the best?
Athletes are known for their inexhaustible determination to win. Performance psychology focuses on unfolding the most effective and sustainable sources of motivation for performance and well-being. How can we learn from world’s best performers and find the motivation source that pushes us to the best of our abilities?
This workshop aims to answer the questions:
- In what ways can we motivate ourselves?
- How do you use different motivation sources to your advantage?
- How do you find your winning drive?
Mind of Resilience
Growing a balanced resistance in a stressful climate
How can we harness ourselves against the turbulent reality of the 21st century?
Our brain is built to lie in the forest and eat berries. However, our current reality is one of constant e-mails and deadlines. Knowing the challenges that the workplace has in this day and age, how can we train our brains to be more resilient against stress?
This workshop aims to answer the questions:
- What is stress, and what is its impact?
- How do you minimize the negative impact of stress?
- How do you design a stress-resilient life?
Enjoy The Pressure
Optimize arousal to rise to the occasion
How can you be in control of your mind when you’re too nervous to think?
In prehistoric times, feelings of nervousness helped us mobilize our bodies when we needed to fight or flee. However, this same feeling isn’t as helpful when giving a presentation or having an important conversation. Despite all the nervous thoughts and feelings, how can we still perform at our best in high-pressure situations?
This workshop aims to answer the questions:
- What do you feel when experiencing pressure?
- What is the relationship between pressure and performance?
- How do you limit the negative impact of pressure?
Talk like an Athlete
Create powerful self-talk to support yourself
What goes through the mind of a football player the moment before taking a deciding penalty kick?
People talk the entire day. Sometimes to other people, but the rest of the day to themselves. Self-talk is about the conversations we have with ourselves. While most of those conversations sound like a blab of words, performance psychology has found that we can improve these conversations for our performance and well-being.
This workshop aims to answer the questions:
- What is the meaning and impact of self-talk?
- How do you switch your inner critic for an inner coach?
- How do you create powerful sentences to tell yourself?
